  1. Not all miscarriages occur due to the mother's body rejecting the pregnancy.  Most occur due to a chromosomal abnormality that causes the fetus to stop developing and then a miscarriage occurs.  Sometimes miscarriages are caused by a hormone deficiency in the mother that causes the uterine lining to be shed (along with the fetus) even though the fetus is developing.  Sometimes miscarriages are caused by blood clots and other things that limit the flow of blood/oxygen/nutrients to the uterus; this can be from a flaw in the mother body or due to substances she is ingesting such as nicotine.  Abnormalities in the shape of a women's uterus can also sometimes cause a miscarriage.  Very rarely is a pregnancy "rejected" by the mother's body, this is usually due to an autoimmune disease such as lupus or antiphospholipid syndrome.

  2. Well, some zygotes fail to implant into the uterian wall.

And a miscarrige is usually (not always) your body's way of rejecting a pregnancy with a chromosomal or developmental problem that would have prevented the baby from ever developing normally.

  3. yeah its called a misscariage.

  4. yes it can.  the body recognizes it as a foreigner and attacks it. its rare, so don't worry about it.

  5. Usually if you have  a negative type blood, you have to get a shot to make sure your body doesn't see the baby as something that shouldn't be there.

  6. Yes, it's called a miscarriage and they can happen for many reasons.

  7. Yes, for differing reasons, these are called miscarriages. It could happen for a number of reasons. The body may detect that there is an abnormality with the baby and reject it. Also if the mother is a negative blood type, and the baby is a positive blood type, the mother's body can see the baby as a "foreign object" and try to eliminate it. This can be avoided with drug treatment though, and blood type is generally a routine testing during pregnancy.

  8. yes one of my bestfriends was about 4 months pregnant and her body started to reject her baby. she went into preterm labor. the doctor ordered strict bedrest and she had to take some kind of pills and steroid shots every single day. Luckily she carried almost full term and the baby was born 6 weeks early but he was able to go home at 4 days in the hospital because he had gained enough weight. it is very rare but it did happen to her

  9. Yes a miscarriage would happen.  Some woman have a "hostile" environment and their body looks at pregnancy as a virus or something and kills it off.  I have a cousin that had that problem but they did finally get her body to stop rejecting pregnancy for awhile so she could have a baby.
