I had a dream last night that I moved into a new house on lots of land.I could see the ocean from the house and I remember looking down at my feet where I was wearing flipflops and I stood up and starting walking towards the ocean that I could see through the trees. I also remember asking someone where I was and they said Cap Cod. I live in Texas by the way.. Can anyone explain why I had such a detailed dream ? It felt so real I could hear and smell the ocean etc.

  1. Dreams are the result of your brain trying to make sense of the random firing of neurons that occurs while you are in REM sleep.

Or maybe it's your minds way of telling you you need a vacation.

  2. This is called Wish Fulfillment. You have this kind of dream when you want something but don't have it.

  3. maybe it just means nothing, but it could mean that u may be moving to someplace different in a matter of time. once i had a dream that i got my school schedule and the next day i got it in the mail! that's just an example but it maybe that kind of dream. u dont have to worry about it though.

  4. To see lush green trees in your dream, symbolizes new hopes, growth and desires. It also implies strength and stability. You are concentrating on your own self-development and individuation.

To see an ocean in your dream, represents the state of your emotions and feelings. It is indicative of some spiritual refreshment, tranquility and renewal

  5. I've been feeling the kingdom of god merging with reality lately.  I think this new house is actually a message telling you about the reality of God and your new body that's coming that'll last forever.  In that dreams are messages about you on an eternal level, they have nothing at all to do with college, nor anything else in this temporary life.  This is all about your spiritual you, not the physical you, which are vastly different from each other, hence the trouble people have interpreting their dreams in ways that change their lives.  This interpretation, if you interpret it from an eternal perspective, will be more meaningful, as will all dreams:

Cape Cod rhymes with Cape God, and a Cod is a fish, which is what many of the stories about Jesus dealt with: fish.  Your living in Texas and the reference to Cape Cod is a classic symbolic link of God's Country with the water of a cape, with the name of a fish (Cod) which live in water.  Even your inclusion of the fact that you live in Texas in your dream description is your own spirit's drawing of everyone's attention to why you pointed out the oddity of Cape Cod being in Texas where it doesn't belong, and hence the drawing of my spirit to Yahoo Answers today to find this vivid dream here and post an explanation that makes sense...something you desperately wanted to know, hence the capitalization of EXPLAIN in your title.  Now you know. :-D  There really is a God!! :D

The vivid dreams are meant to leave impressions in your mind that you will remember. :-)

I live in East Texas, too, by the way.

  6. Dont get distracted and dont give up on your dreams and you will see good things in your life.

  7. You may be in for a move in the future bud. :-)

  8. Well I can have go at this from two different perspectives. The first being that it sounds to me like you're feeling kinda trapped by your current situation and are longing for something new. Maybe work, family commitments are placing too much pressure on you and you may have had this dream because a part of you really desperately needs a holiday. The second perspective is along the lines of having a vision of something to come ... maybe you actually are sometime in the near future moving my friend ... in either case you should buy yourself some board shorts lol

  9. ocean means blessing and  trees means people and a new house is a good sign for you

    so be happy

  10. Wow. That's cool. But you have to face it. Dreams mean nothing, They are just your brain scrambling up past experiences (even though you may not think you experienced them) and putting them into a scene at night. Don't think about it. It was just a dream.

    Hope this helps!
