  1. An undergraduate is simply someone who has not graduated with a bachelor's degree yet. A graduate student (whether Master's or Doctoral Level) have completed their bachelors' degrees.

An Associates degree is when someone completes roughly 30-45 credits (usually 2 years-the number of credits depends on the degree program). You do not need to earn your Associates degree to earn a Bachelor's Degree.

Most Associate Degrees are awarded through junior or community colleges. If the colleges are reputable, those credits taken can be transferred to a bachelor degree granting college or university. It typically takes another 2 years after your associates degree to earn your bachelor's degree.

As I mentioned before, you do not need to get an Associates degree to earn a Bachelor's degree. Many community colleges and junior colleges have transfer programs. What these do is have the student take their first 2 years of credit in a particular major and then seamlessly transfer those credits to a 4-year college/university. Another way to still earn a bachelor's degree without earning a bachelor's degree is to simply go to a 4-year college/university.

    Bottom line:

    Associate Degree=2 years total

    Bachelor Degree=4 years total

These are not written in stone, as some people need longer or take courses over the summer and it takes less time. These are just the typical time periods.

  2. Bachelor's Degree is 4 years, This is called an undergraduate degree, everything above is graduate degree.

After one has attained a bachelor's degree they can go back to graduate school for a Master's degree (bachelor's degree plus two years more), or a doctorate degree (usually a Master's degree plus three years).

  3. An Undergradutae is a person who is going to try to get a AS( Associate of Art of science) degree or BA( bachelor degree). After getting a BA degree and you want to continue with you education to get a Masters,MD,PHD then the schools you need to attend will be graduate schools. undergraduate basically means the degree or school which is below a profession school.

  4. undergraduate is the first 4 years of college.

um Associates degree is the 2 year degree and a bachelors degree comes usually when you are done with your undergrad which is your first 4 years of college.

  5. !st. Bachelor of Science - B.S. in Agriculture, Commerce, Nursing, what ever. This is a four year course. (4 years)

2nd. Master's Degree - This is the next field of education. (2 years)

3rd. The Ph. D. - Doctor of Philosophy in  Agriculture, Commerce, Nursing. This is the last course. (2 years)

When you finished Bachelor of Science in Education, you can teach in Elementary and High School only.

When you take up Master's Degree, you can teach in College.

And when you take up Doctor of Philosophy, you can teach those taking up Master's Degree.

  6. An undergraduate is anyone who has not yet received a bachelor's degree (BA or BS).

After the Associates degree, you take two more years of courses to earn enough units for a Bachelor's degree. You must declare a major and do a certain number of courses in that field.

If you take graduate level courses for approximately two years (length of time required can vary), you can earn a Master's Degree. Part of the coursework involved writing a thesis, or long research paper in your course of study.

Beyond that, you can earn a Ph.D. (doctor of philosophy) which takes several more years of writing and research. You will have to sit before a committee of experts in your subject and defend your written thesis in person.

  7. im not sure what a undergraduate is but

a 4 year degree is a bachlers (the one you want to get, dont settle for associates)

and a 6 year degree is a masters (looks really good)

but it all depends on your major

if your school offers AVID look them up they can be really helpful

  8. Not sure it is the same in the US but in Australia an undergrad is any course before you have graduated. Post Grad being the one you can start after you have graduated.

You would be looking at undergraduate degrees

I guess it depends on what you want to be/do

look into what the basic requirements are for your chosen career and go from there

    Good luck!

  9. okay, undergrad is like when you dont have a degree already. Graduate is when you are like going back to school.

You have a few diff degrees.

associates- 2 year degree ( From like a community college)

Bachelors- 4/5 year degree( 4 year university)

    Masters- Usually 6 years.

Doctorate- 6+ years. The highest degree.

  10. Undergraduate means you're in your first two years of college. It's the same as being lower division. Upper division courses are taken in your last (3rd and 4th) years of college. Just a note: most people don't compete college in an even four years nowadays.

    Various times: Vocational Certificate

    2 years: Associates Degree

    4 years: Bachelors Degree

One of the above plus 1 or more years: Masters Degree

One of the Above plus however many years it takes (average 3): PhD

I'm a student, not a counselor. Please reference the sites below to more fully understand the divisions.
