  1. Hi, Im  14 too and i have a cockatiel, a guinea pig, a russian tortoise, a betta fish, and a goldfish. I have had experience with a HUGE variety of animals. If ur not yet in high school (im taking sumemr courses) you will not be able to spend as much time with ur pets as you would like to - trust me (ive been through it, and so have my older friends.) and if you cant spell reptile right, are you really ready for another one? a tortoise is low maintnence -  you can find them at shelters or petfinder.com. frogs and toads- less handleable things, are good too because you have less of an obligation to interact

    hope this helps!

  2. i think you should get a blue tongue lizard they are a very  easy reptile to keep i used to have 1 thay mostly eat veitables they love mince and somtimes they love crickets if they can catch them they farly need a big cage because they they are a ground lizard and they prfer to be with a parnter

they need at least one meter by one meter or bigger they need a  uv light of corse because they are a reptile and they love to be hand feed

once i found one in my pool and it must have been in there for hours and i picked it up out of the freezin cold water and put it in a blanket then i feed it mince so nearly every blue tongue lovs to be feed !!!!! hope i have helped

  3. ?REPTIAL????

  5. Hello; both Blue Tongued Skinks and Crested Geckos make excellent pets. To give you an idea of the differences between the two species, here is a bit of information on each and a care sheet. :)

Blue Tongued Skinks are often referred to as the 'Cadillacs of the lizard world', and are very intelligent, docile, interesting, hardy as long as their care needs are met, can be housed in a 40-60 gallon tank, are almost dog-like pets, and can even be hand-fed by their owners because of how gentle they are. They are omnivores and eat a mixture of greens, meats (chicken, high-quality cat food, snails, sill/wax/butter worms, etc), and fruit. They are a tad on the expensive side, but their personalities more than make up for it. I'm a bit biased, but in my opinion you really can't ask for a better pet lizard. :)

Here is an incredibly detailed care sheet that is a wonderful resource on Blue-tongue Skink general information, care, needs, and maintenance:

    http://bluetongueskinks.net/care.htm

Crested Geckos are nocturnal so they don't need UV lighting, are small, low maintenance, docile, interesting looking, do quite well with handling though are jumpier than Blue Tongues are, have very easy to meet feeding needs, can live quite comfortably in a 29 gallon tall terrarium, are intelligent, and much cheaper to care for than Blue Tongues are.

Here are two great care sheets for Crested Geckos, as well:

At the end of the day; the choice for which lizard to get is up to you. Both make great pets. My suggestion would be to go through those care sheets, think about your lifestyle and what your idea of a good pet is, and to go with whichever one seems to best suit you. :)

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions at all on the subject; please feel free to message me and I will be more than happy to assist you.

    Good luck with your decision!
