can someone actually copyright a bindi dot? I had an idea to create some re-useable bindi dots out of clay...and i did a search to see if someone had beat me to the punch...and someone on a website i use is selling polymer clay bindi dots and they claim to have them copyrighted...they're just clay flowers?

I think they may just be saying they have them copyrighted so that no one else sells them...what do you think?

How can you even copyright an idea that has been around for hundreds of years (bindi dot)....and can you copyright a flower...i mean...aren't they fair game??
