  1. i would take a wild guess and say around 19 classic cars didnt really get that many miles

  2. there really are too many variables to make a precise estimate on that. if the motor runs good, is well tuned, and it has low miles on it(below 100k ) and its a sound car..i'd guess maybe 15 - 18 mpg.

  3. That is a classic, is a pricey car, can go from $6000 to big numbers if it is a Shelby. That V8 engine will perform accordying to the carburator it has, you don't mention if it is a 2 barrel carb or a four, the gas mileage will depend on what you have there. Sorry, cannot help much without knowing that.

  4. The best way to find the answer to this question is to fill the tank, write down the mileage and the amount of gas your tank holds. Drive the car normally until you are almost to the empty level on the fuel guage being careful not to run out of gas. Check the mileage at that point and divide the total mileage by the total gallons of gas it took to fill the tank. This will give you the average mpg  your car gets.

  5. 15 miles per gallon.

  6. A lot of factors go into what gas mileage different cars and years get or should get. That said in 68 your garden variety mustang w/289-2 brl auto trans would get some where around 12 to 17 mph. Not good by today's standards. But in 68 gas was 35 to 45 cents per gal and no one cared.  Hope that answered it for you. Good luck

  7. Yes.
