  1. So you wanna look origianl...

  2. Do you mean personal notepaper. You could give the paper a colour wash. Brush the paper all over with water then pick up some watercolour paint and brush across the paper. Putting a heavy concentration at one edge and then gradually fading the colour as you move down the sheet looks good. You can get different effects by dabbing the wet paint with a sponge or sprinkling salt on it. Or load a stiff dry brush with paint and flick it at the paper for a spatter effect.

If you prefer something drier you could use an ink pad for rubber stamps. These have a raised bed and could be pressed on to the paper randomly perhaps in to different colours overlapping in places or you can drag the pad across the paper to get stripes.

You can get scissors that cut different patterns to decorate the edge of the paper and corner punches that cut shapes such as butterflies in the corner. If you can afford it a trimmer with fancy edge blades is better than scissors as it cuts the full length in one go.

Chalking edges looks really neat too. You will find special chalks or chalk inking pads in craft shops. They give a soft look to the edges of your paper and they do not come off.

Another craft shop product is rub-ons which can be rubbed on to your paper and look as if they have been printed. There are lots of designs from cute and twee to very sophisticated.

  3. Use rubber stamps and embossing powder ;)))
