  4. Yes, they can, it's very rare but it's possible. The bubonic plague is derived from diseased and infected rats. They defiantly have a vaccine for it in local hospitals, although, it's becoming so rare, that our bodies can easily become immune to it now and for that reason, most hospitals rarely carry the vaccination for the plague anymore.
