  1. An ipod is just one kind of MP3 player and depending on the kind you buy and the features you want you can get a different brand that does whatever you want it to. Ipods are expensive for what they are and connect only to iTunes which is a pest. Some brands only connect to Windows. The one I currently have connects to Linux just fine. (And windows as well)

  2. basically the same thing but the only diff. is that an ipod has games and videos.. if u get an MP4 then you will have access to Videos. and idk if u will be able to play games. but those are the only differences

  3. The main difference would, obviously, be price for starters. Because the mp3 players don't have some of the features that the iPod does, prices vary.

The iPod connects ONLY to iTunes, while an mp3 player (from my experience) ONLY connects to Window Media Player. iPods have stopwatches, games, can hold videos, pictures, has a calendar, can hold contacts & notes and (from my own experience!) is easier to scroll through. I also find that the iPod is much more organized than mp3 players are.

Keep in mind that I owned an older version of the mp3 players. I'm not sure if any use batteries anymore. But if they do, that's another plus the iPod has.
