Can someone compare quality or desireability of quartz to wind up clocks?

A Quartz Crystal is the active time determining element because it can operate at high frequencies... say 10 Mhz, so any inaccuracies would be a VERY small part of that time base... a wind up clock, on the other hand is a simple one for one mechanism... if IT drops a beat, even just one beat per minute... it would be off by a MINUTE after an hour
