Can someone do something to me with my license plate?

Well, my brother and I were driving into a small parking lot, and I was in the passenger seat. When we were about to turn into the entrance of the parking lot, there was a guy in a big truck just sitting there in the entrance ramp blocking our way, the ramp was wide enough for us to go around him, but once we did and started to go into a parking spot, the guy started accelerating and almost hit us and then honked at us like we had done something wrong.(I think he was waiting for the space we were about the get in, but he was stopped blocking the entrance ramp so we had no idea.)

So I was kinda pissed that he almost hit us so I flashed him the finger. Then we went to another parking spot. He then comes up to us and asks us if we have a finger problem, and my brother and I say no in a mocking tone. We entered the store and I saw him write down our license plate. My question is, can he do anything with that to harm us or something? (please not that my brother made no illegal drivingmoves

He probably wrote down you re plate number just in case his truck was vandalized while he was in the store so he would have a suspect that he could blame.

But other than that he can't harm you with just a plate number.

No, you did nothing illegal.  He probably just called the dmv/police to complain.  Some people have too much time on their hands.

scary position.  Depending if he knows a cop he can run your plate number and go to your house.  Or he can search it up or run your plate himself if he has the right stuff to do it!

No, he can call the police dept. and ***** all he wants but he can't do anything if you didn't do anything wrong, You didn't break the law and even if you did and he can't prove it then he has nothing...... Flipping someone the bird isn't agaisnt the law, so flip away!

I think he was just intimidating you.  You made the mistake of encouraging his hostility.  It's best not to feed another's rage, especially when it's not reasonable.  You just make the situation worse.

If he's got connections, he can get your address from it.  If he's a psycho stalker, well, you figure it out.....

If you're both under 18 and he's over 18, you coulda got him in a whole boat-load of trouble.
