Can someone else direct deposit into my account?

My fiance' owes two different banks money, so we can't open a joint account until he gets them paid off. His job is going to strictly direct deposit with their payments, so I offered up my account. But will they deposit into my account if his name isn't listed?

Yes they can deposit his checks into your account.  He might be able to get his own account through a credit union.  Usually they will allow a savings only, even if he has poor banking history.

Yes, just have him take a deposit slip from your account to the payroll department.
