Can someone exlain how an incadent light bulb works?

  1. This kind of bulb has a tungsten filament, when this metal is cold it has almost no Resistance to eclectic current. When a switch is closed there is an initial rush of current that quickly heats the filament to a point where it radiates heat and light, the current stabilizes when it reaches the amount that the bulb was designed to operate on.
