Can someone explain Desperately Seeking Susan?

I was gonna go rent it. Is it a good movie? What's it about? (in a nutshell) I was gonna see it 'cause Madonna's in it, lol, but I wanna know if it's good

It is about the only movie Madonna did in which she actually gave a good performance.  She just plays a version of her self really.

The movie is a romantic comedy with missed connections and mistaken identidy caused by personal ads in the villiage voice and a denim jacket that once belonged to Jimmie Hendrix.  Not great ciniema but an entertaining film.
