NASCAR or the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing is a racing leauge that has multiple regional and national sub-leauges (if you will).

Its 3 most popular are the

Craftsman Truck Series (25 races annually/36 competitors)

Nationwide Series (35 races annually/43 competitors)

Sprint Cup Series (36 races annually/43 competitors)

In all NASCAR divisions drivers race for points & wins. In the Sprint Cup Series (the highest tier of NASCAR) there is a 10 race 'Race to the Sprint Cup' started in 2004.

The formula is simple practice, setting up your car to compete properly & qualify, qualify to determine where you start in the race and of course the race itself where the simple goal is to finish 1st and garner the most points & at the end of the year the 1 with the most points wins the Championship.

wow i still cant get over this, i have never once went on a board and asked; how do you watch hockey, how do you watch soccer, how do you watch baseball, etc. there are sports that i dont find entertaining at all but i still dont make fun of the people and there sport just because i dont find it entertaining.
