I just read it and didn't understand much about what carlisle was explaining about tanya's family..

can someone explain without spoiling please??

  4. I think he was explaining one of the rules of vampires.  You can't make vampire children because they are so powerful and don't have the capacity to stop themselves nor could they be taught to stop themselves.  

    And basically tanya's mother did this, and the Volturi found out and took her and the child and killed them.

    I think he was cautioning Bella because she might have urges to want children in her immortality and be a mother.
