  2. The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is one of the most powerful and wide-reaching treaties in the world. It governs the entire spectrum of North American trade and has at its roots hemispheric cooperation on a scale never before seen.

It is basically a treaty between the United States, Canada, and Mexico that removed certain taxes from goods imported into our countries. This allows the United States to trade goods and products with these other 2 countries for cheaper than we can trade with other countries.

  3. Sorry but we're not going to do your homework for you and give you every single detail!

NAFTA is a trade agreement between the US, Mexico, and Canada. It's similar to the EU where goods and services can flow between member nations without import duties. The same goes for those who signed the NAFTA Treaty.

So NAFTA allowed American companies to sell it's goods and services in Canada and Mexico without having to pay those countries import duties. The same applies to Canada and Mexico when they do business with the US and each other.

However, NAFTA was and still is a controversial decision. Some believe it was and still is a good idea and has worked to our benefit. Others say no.
