Can someone explain in detail how to put an AVI file on a dvd and then be able to play it in a DVD player?

I have the NTI dvd and cd maker 7 and can't figure out how to get it to be able to play

  1. You need to transcode the avi file to an intermediate format that can be written to DVD with your NTI software. Or you can use the direct approach of transcoding to DVD format files.The link below gives you an open source transcoder.Open source means free, so you can try it out at no risk.


  2. If you have a dvd writer, then you can use nero smart burner to create a DVD. and be able to play it in your player

  3. i always use cucusoft avi to dvd burner, It enables you to convert and burn any video file directly to VCD, DVD, SVCD, MPEG1 and MPEG2 format. Embedded "VCD/DVD/SVCD Video Burner Engine" is integrated.it's not free, but it works pretty well, I think it well worth the money, If you need more info, here you can free download it
