Can someone explain me how to play the beggining of Harvest Moon DS cute?

I just bought HM DS Cute, and i stared to play... i woke up in the morning, then comes the Harvest Goddess...blah,blah,blah. Then i begin to play i plant some o the seeds i have, then what should i do nesxt!?

Harvest Moon is a game where you can do whatever you like.

Everyone plays it their own way. Some people prefer to plant loads of crops, some people love to mine more than others, some put their animals as top priority.

And others (like me), like to multitask and do it all. [But the main aim is to rescue the Harvest Goddess, by rescuing 60 sprites]

When you start your game, the best thing to do is talk to all the characters in the Valley, and maybe give them a gift (a simple flower found on the ground will do for now).

Then just get to know the Valley and where things are.

Keep shipping weeds and anything you find on the ground, and you'll soon get enough money to buy more things.

Here's some starters:

-Buy an item from the supermarket (use the phone in your house), for any 10 days. Then you'll unlock the sprite shopping channel. Buy the table when it's offered and Gotz will then offer you a house upgrade.

[I'm saying this, because many people ask this, and you will know this in advance]

-Dig in the excavation site (top right of map). You can use the save/reload trick:

-Save when you get in there. Now dig in the ground with the hoe. If you find a piece of jewellery, remember where that spot is. Now reload and go directly to that spot. (The purpose of this is to save your stamina). Now, don't ship the jewellery. Wait for days ending in 3 or 8 for Van. He sets up stall from 10am-6pm upstairs in the Inner Inn, through the doorway and turn left. He's at the orange crate. Sell him the jewellery and if he doesn't offer at least 3,200G, decline and retry (his buying prices vary). If you had shipped them normally, you'd only get 2,000G each.

-Hire the fishing team to fish for you (this will bring in more money).

And remember: DO NOT litter outside of your own farmland/mines - littering results in a drop in affection and friendship levels. This includes dropping weeds back onto the ground. [to see affection/friendship points, you can get the Love Bangle from the casino, upstairs]
