Can someone explain the basics of baseball?

i used to hate watchin baseball with my cousins...but now im thinking i should watch it...i just dont understand what innings are and what outs are and pretty much everything in between?

Hit the ball, score runs, play defense, get outs. Simple as that. And uh, win the game.

When each team bats an inning is completed. A team can bat until the defense records three outs against them. There are several ways a player can be put out. If someone hits the ball and a defender catches it before it touches the ground the hitter is out. If a runner gets tagged while running the bases he is out. If a player hits the ball but the defenders manage to have the ball when first base is tagged he's out. There is much more but just check that link I saw someone else give you. Also some basics to keep in mind, 3 strikes your out, 4 balls your walked, and the game lasts for 9 innings.
