  1. you hit the ball

  2. Basically you hit the ball until the opponent can't hit it back (either into the net or outside the line) and you win the point. Here's a great explanation of all the details you need to know.

  3. yes. The point of the game is to hit the tennis ball onto your opponents side of the court and win games. If you hit it over and ur oponent doesn't hit it back or if he hits out or in the net it's your point. your points go from 15-30-40-60 and when you get to 60 you win one game. you play to six games in one set. whoever gets to 6 first wins the whole match. unless it's equal 5-5 you play a game duece which is first to win 2 games over the other person. I f it's 6 all you play a 10 point tiebreaker. In tennis for every game you serve at the base line/back line. and you can play sigles or doubles.

  4. singles: always start your serves on the right side of the court. your object on the serve is to hit the ball into the box on the opposite side (the right side for your opponent). when they return the ball, it has to be in the court not in the doubles alley or behind the court.

    score: 0-love, 1-fifteen, 2-thirty, 3-fourty, tied at 40-duece, ad-in or ad-out, you must win by two

doubles:two people on each side of the court. scorekeeping is the same but they can hit the ball into the doubles alley and its considered to be in bounds. if your at the net, you want to take the balls out of the air as much as possible.

forehand-if your righthanded, you just pick up the racket in your right hand and hold it at the bottom. stand in ready position, turn your body when the ball comes, and hit it.

backhand-hold your racket with right hand on bottom and left hand on top. on this stroke, its even more important to turn your body when you hit.

lob-you try to hit under the ball to make it go higher. these are sometimes important in doubles because you want to get the ball past the net player

volley-this is my favorite :) i love being at the net and slamming shots at my opponents! haha  you try to take the ball out of the air when you are playing the net.

well thats about all i have so enjoy yourself and good luck!! tennis is a great game!!!!!
