Can someone explain the rating system in Italy for hiking or trekking trails?

We are investigating a trip to do the Alta Via 1, and websites use a letter system for rating trails that I do not recognize. We want to be sure not to commit to hikes that are too easy or too difficult.

Any information you have about letter rating system for trails would be helpful. Thank you!

I guess this what you mean: T - E - EE - EEA - A

If it's so this is the rating system:

T=Turistico = For Tourists = very easy

E=Escursionistico = walkable = easy

EE=Escursionistico per Esperti = walkable for experts= medium difficulty.

EEA=Escursionistico per Esperti con Attrezzatura per ferrate; = For experts equipped for via ferrata =  Difficult

A=Alpinistico = Alpine = For climbers  = Very difficult
