  1. its not good enough to have absolute control over someone...

    its better if you can make them want to serve you

    maybe applicable to one's strategies on climbing the corporate ladder or some hierarchy.

  3. It is not enough to take over and rule a country. You have to get the populace to believe and trust in you. Like Louis 14th and Marie Antionette. While France was starving, they did nothing to help them. Instead they ignored the suffering and raised taxes even higher so they could continue their lavish lifestyle.. Marie Antionette was quoted as saying, "Let them eat Cake." It was an insult to them because only the very rich could get cake at that time. Their lack of concern resulted in an uprising and having their heads cut off.

  4. it is not enough to have authority to other people, but you also must know how to let them believe in you.

  5. My understanding of it is that it is not enough to know how to take things by force. You need to understand what it takes to make people want to give things to you as well.
