Question:

Can someone explain to me, adding a new sound system to your car, and what you can add (sub's, etc.)?

  1. Almost anything can be done to a vehicle nowadays. My suggestion is to avoid anything "cheap." I would rather listen to the radio in the car next to me then waste my money on anything "cheap." However that doesn't mean that if it isn't a name brand, then it's c**p.

    A question this bold would lead me to believe your best option would be to walk into a local stereo shop, as in not best buy, circuit city, etc..., and ask them this question. By that I mean don't buy anything off the internet crossing your fingers that it's worth your $$. I would work with something your local stereo shop is 1st willing to stock, and 2nd willing to warranty. This is the best option for most consumers.  

    Going to a main stream electronic store for car audio is the easiest way to get overcharged for something not that isn't that great. Plus their installers are usually salary based kids who are hired by the store manager who has never plugged anything into his cig lighter let alone installed a stereo system.
