News Item: Bus Driver Stabbed to death before the Passengers

It was the kind of afternoon

That stirred madness

From the bottom

Like a spoon.

The knife went in

With blood like words

Forced out of open mouths.

Passengers thought of escape,

Waiting for God or something quick

(the drivers face looked unfamiliar).

When everything was safe,

The passengers discussed

Their plans which were too late,

(he had a knife).

They would come home

with an interesting story

to tell.

I have my little understaning but not enough to figure out as a whole...

Im not to good either with this that is why Im asking for someones literary opinion....Thanks!

  1. Is this poem written by any known poet ? Should we look for any deeper meaning than merely the journalistic jingle that is there right in front of us ?

To me the title is ordinary day to day news of violence, the lines are also description of a horrible murder or man-slaughter. There is no hint of any nature to tell us that we have to look for any hidden meaning , besides the clip of news put in a some-what verse form.

    Sorry !
