I don't quite understand the notion behind this as I am having a hard time figuring out a simpler way of presenting this issue to the class? (I'm doing a class presentation on multiculturalism)

  1. Politics of difference refers to how humans define one another by our differences. It's hard to define and notice differences when you're trying to find similarities. I think that's where multiculturalism may come in to play. Because it stresses the importance of different cultures, races, and ethnicities.

While Politics of difference may keep people apart, multiculturalism helps to explain the differences and  help groups co-exist in harmony in the same society.
