Can someone explain to me what a draw is?

Question

I went on an interview for an accounts payable position and they asked if I have ever dealt with draws??? I of course said yes but I am not sure if I have or not. It is a construction company. Can someone try and explain what a draw might be in the construction business. I belive it is just a set amount that is paid?
