Can someone explain to me what cyptid is and whats a tuschinoko and have you ever seen a tsuchinoko?

  1. "Crypt" means hidden so a cryptid is a hidden, meaning possible but not yet officially discovered, animal. The study of hidden animals is called cryptozoology.

    Many animals we now know to be real used to be cryptids and they were considered just legends: the okapi, coelacanth, mountain gorilla, giant squid, megamouth shark.

    Today Bigfoot, mokele-mbembe, the thylacine (this was definitely a real animal, but we're not sure if it is really extinct) and the Loch Ness Monster are cryptids.

    Loren Coleman is a famous cryptozoologist who has written several books. Here are some crypto websites:
