  1. You can study abroad in high school or in college, although there are different benefits to both. Doing it in high school is cheaper, but I've heard that the experience is better when you're in college.

Generally, when studying abroad you take classes in another country. When you do this in high school, it is a little more complicated, as high school classes are not necessarily the same in different countries. I had a friend in high school who was a German exchange student - she was technically a senior in my high school, but when she went back to Germany she had another year left of school. Check this out with your counselor before you make any decisions. If you study abroad in college, you know exactly what classes you will be taking and you will most likely go with a small group of students from your university, unlike in high school when you are by yourself with a host family.

It all depends on what you want to accomplish while you are away. If you want to have a taste of what it would be like without leaving the country, try being a host family for another student travelling abroad.

In any case, have fun and be safe!

  2. another country

  3. it means to learn for a semester (or year, depending on your choice) in another country to study and also learn their cultures (and for fun too)

  4. Study abroad means that you explore and study over at another country and immerse yourself in the academics and culture (for a semester, year, or summer).

Most colleges have them and they can be all over the world.

  5. Studying in a school in another country.
