  1. As the others explained, a seeder shares its downloaded files back to the torrent so that there are more computers to download from. This speeds things up for everyone by spreading the work and available bandwidth around.

A leech doesn't share its downloads back. This is unhealthy for the torrent community because there are fewer places to download from. This puts extra work on the seeds and uses more of their bandwidth. Some bittorrent clients will penalize leeches by sending data more slowly, so it's not a good idea to be a leech.

  2. when downloading torrents seeders allow the torrent they just recieved to be downloaded off their computer to make downloads faster and more reliable for other people this is called "seeding", leechers dont "reseed" their torrents so they cant be retorrented off their computer. i would personally be a leecher, because reseeding slows down your computer and takes up valuable internet bandwidth

  3. okay, in english, a seeder practicly feeds your the download, the more seeders, the faster your download will be. Leechers are people who are downloading from you. seeding leechers slows down your bandwidth (the speed of your internet) so try to avoid seeding unless you want to help people out.
