  1. Each program defines what each function key does - there's no universal assignment list, although the most common assignments are:

    F1 - Help

    F3 - Find

    F5 - Refresh

    f4 -

    f5 - refresh

    f6 - goes into Adress Box

    f7 - caret browsing

    f8 -

    f9 -

    f10-goes to FILE (first line)

    f11-full screen

  3. the function keys really depend on which program you're using.  They tend to do different functions in different programs.  But generally F1 is always <Help>.  

    F5 is the refresh function for almost all browsers that I know of.
