Can someone explain why communication between body systems and with other organisms is essential for survival?

a science question on our revision for a test. We've been learning about reproduction and the endocrine and nervous system. Please help!

Because by themselves they are useless.  Without the nervous system the reproduction system is no good and vica-versa.  As has been said theres heaps of info on this so look specifically just for what you've been taught, ie examples where the nervous or reproduction system communicate to each other.
