  1. The number size (ex. 34) is the measurement around the chest. The letter measurement (E) is the cup size.

    Expample:

    32A, B, C, D, E etc

    34 A, B, C,D, E etc

    A double letter means the cup is twice the size. Like an AA is larger than a regular A but still smaller than a B.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Cup sizes are relative to the band size, so a D cup, for example, is not the same size in every bra. A 32D is the same size as a 34C or 36B, but on a smaller frame. A 28F is actually 2 cup sizes smaller than a 38D.[3] You may not think of yourself as being busty, but in moving to a smaller band size you will find that you need a bigger cup size.

    Your bra size changes as your weight fluctuates throughout the seasons and the years.

    Hope this helps

  3. Bra sizes are measured around the bust (cup size) and around under the bust (size in inches).

    They go up like A, AA, AAA, B, BB, etc... so the higher the letter and the more consecutive letters the bigger the cup/actual bust size.  Obviously the size in inches gets bigger as the back gets broader.

    34E is bigger than a 34DD.

  4. the number is circumference measured under breast around chest.

    The letter is cup size. The measurement is the distance from chest to front of breast, measured on the side in a straight line so...

    A=1"

    B=2"

    C=3"

    and so on.

    double letters are less than the next whole size step.

    keep em pointed up!!

  5. the number is how far they measure around, the letter is how far they stick out.

    AA is smallest.

    That's my incredibly simplistic understanding of it, anyway...

  6. AA,A,B,C,D,DD,E,DDD,F,J,H,I,J,K,L

    First you need to know that Bra sizes are made up of two parts. first is the chestband size and second is the cup size. The size "34C" denotes a size "34" chestband and a "C" cup size.

    The two measurements was one of my problems. I just measured around my b*****s and thought that would be good enough. Boy was I wrong. Here are the measurements you will need to take.

    Use a standard dressmaker's tape measure.

    For best results, have someone else measure you.

    Your Two Measurements

    1. Your Bra/Band size

    Your band size is a number, which represents your body or diaphragm size - such as 30,32,34,36,38,40, etc. It’s known as the 'underbust measurement' because it is taken from under your bust and shoulder blades, around your rib cage.

    2. Your Cup size

    Your cup size is a letter, which represents the size of your bust - such as A, B, C, D. It's known as the ‘overbust measurement’ because it is taken around the fullest part of your bust..

    Getting a Proper Chestband / Underbust Size

    Cup size can not be properly obtained if the chestband is not the correct size. So the first step you need ot take is getting the proper chestband size. A properly fitted chestband will allow your bra to provide proper support to your bust while taking the load away from the shoulder straps which are intended to adjust the height of your bosom, not carry it. To get your chestband measurement:

    Take a snug measurement around your rib cage, under your bust and shoulder blades.

    Add 5 inches. Example: 30" + 5" = 35"

    If you get an even number, this is your Band Size.

    If you get an odd number (like 35), round up one (to 36) to get your Band Size.

    Example: 30" + 5" = 35" + 1" = 36"

    Getting a Proper Cup / Overbust Size

    Now that you have your band size you can go on to figure out the right size bra to buy. The next step is to determine what your cup size is and this is pretty easy to do. You can do this by yourself, but it definitely helps if you have someone who can assist you with the measurements. To get your proper bra cup measurement:

    With bra on and clothes off, place the measuring tape under your arms and over the fullest part of your bust.

    Next you need to do a little math to get your proper cup size.

    Subtract your underbust meas. (Step 1) from your Overbust Meas. (Step 2).

    Example: 39" overbust measurement - 36" underbust measurement = 3"

    3" = C cup

  7. The letters refer to the cup size of the bra. AA is smallest, and most commercial bra manufacturers have not successfully gone beyond a K cup so far.

    The 34E is bigger in the cup than the 34DD, but is the same size around the band that sits under the bust.

    Incidentally, the 'take your measurement and add 4 or 5 inches' theory is totally out of date and no longer applies. It is also the main reason why 80-90% of women in the UK are wearing the wrong size bra!

  8. the number has nothing to do with boob size. a 38 something doesnt mean the person has bigger b***s than a 34something.

    the letter is the boob size.

    small to large

    a

    aa

    b

    bb

    c

    cc

    d

    dd

    etc

    the number just depends on how large you back is, like men's shirts have measurements like 40" on them etc, the number doesnt determine boob size.

  9. Wow :p Double A, small, double D is fairly large and yes a 34 E is bigger than a 34 DD. That what you wanted to know ? If not then rephrase the Q to me :p

  10. it's alphabetical small to large. the number is merely the woman's circumference below the bust.

  11. to find out your bra size you need to measure under your b*****s and plus 4 to an even number and 5 to an odd to find the band size(the number) then measure over you b*****s to find the cup size

    eg one inch different = a

    2=b

    3=c etc

    the number is the size of the person the letter is the difference
