Can someone factor the following for me?

y³ - 8 = (y - 2)(y² + 2y + 4)

27y³ - 8 = (3y - 2)(9y² + 6y + 4)

1 - x³ = -(x - 1)(x² + x + 1)

These last two have different variables.  They can't be factored further.  Did you want to have the same variables?  If so, then

x² - 5x - 24 = (x - 8)(x + 3)

14u² - 33u - 5 = (2u - 5)(7u + 1)
