  1. a portion of $3K

  2. The 2 amounts invested are x and y.

    x+y=3000

    also,

    .03x+.04y = 107

    solving for x,

    x=3566.66-4/3 Y

    Substituting into the first equation,

    3566.66-4/3y + y = 3000

    3566.66-1/3Y=3000

    1/3Y=566.66

    Y=1700

    X+1700=3000

    X=1300

    I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

    Can you email me my grade for the test?

  3. .03x + .04(3,000 - x) = 107

  4. Mainecpa's solution is correct he invested $1300 in the first investment and $1700 in the other.
