    You are not able to get a credit card until you are 18 and legally old enought to sign a contract - the credit agreement.

    To get a real credit card, you must be 18 years of age. My advice, pay with cash whenever possible so you don't run up a big debt.

  6. Probably.  But you are better off getting a Debit Visa\Mastercard linked to your checking account.  16 is far to young to get hooked into the problems of Credit.....
