Can someone get criminal threat when someone comes on their property and is the one that is threatened?

my sister and i are being charged with criminal threat when a female came to our house and threatened me. what are we suppost to do?

If you would have shot and killed her it would have been Self Defense. Because you were threatened in your home. So I don't see where the DA is getting off, with the info provided.

It depends on the state.  In some states you get charged and they investigate then drop the charges.  Main reason is to, believe it or not, have a record of the offense from both sides.  The next is to protect you from being charged by the other female.

countercharge for criminal trespass and hope the lawyers work out a deal, because if you made threats it doesnt matter WHERE you were they can press charges....  making a deal is your best chance
