Im often told that roadwork is essential to becoming a well conditioned boxer and jumping rope improves your footwork and endurance. But can someone give me good boxing routines that can be done weekly from the morning to afternoon and to the evenings? Thank You.

  1. I  don't really know anything about boxing, but boxing on the Wii is a really good workout!

    You should try that!

  2. - a light jog around your neighbourhood or on an excercising machine to help with cardio

    - those stress balls so that you can work your hand/wrist muscles more

    - weights so you have more arm strength and endurance

**eat right and drink more water =)

  3. Got a round timer?  If not pick one up at a "sporting goods store" somewhere.  You should be doing any and all training on a round  timer and never deviate from your round timer.  You can pick up a personal round timer for around 20 - 30 bucks at any sporting goods store worth its weight in gold.  Or you can order a "gym size" one from places like title and combat sports international if need be, online.

A boxing routine is what you make it personally.  If I were your trainer though I'd set the round timer for 12 rounds at a time for a three minute setting with a full minute break between rounds.

Then get you started on "heavy bag work" first and formost and about half way through your first round have you move quickly to the "double end bag" and practice up on "bobbing and weaving" while throwing shots or even "fade and sway" while trowing shots.

Next round ( Rnd 2 ) would be the slip bag for half the round then quicly moving to the upper cut bag for the other 1:30 of the round.

Third round repeat heavy bag work for the entire round.

The fourth round though throw in some "core work" for the first 1:30 of the round and move back to the heavy bag again for the remianing 1:30 of the round.

Fifth round shadow boxing through the entire round.

Sixth round "core work" for 1:30 of the round then back to the double end bag for the other 1:30 of the round.

Seventh round "heavy bag" for the entire round.

Eighth round "slip bag" for the entire round.

Ninth round "double end bag" for the entire round.

Tenth round "core work" for the entire round.

Eleventh round heavy bag for 1:30 of the round upper cut bag for the final 1:30 of the round.

Twelfth round round shadow boxing for the entire round.

Then repeat two more sets of 12 rounds ( 12 rounds X's three total )  mixing up the rounds as you see fit, but keep a lot of core work and heavy bag work mixed into it so that your punches become strengthened all the more and always stay dead set on the double end bag as well during such a routine to keep your hand-eye coordination at it's quickest.

If you've ever been to a boxing gym then you already know that the training is all based on the "ROUND TIMER".

You can do this daily for how ever many days per week you decide to as well, but this is routine should be done daily.

These rounds were only an exapmle of possibilites.  Ultimately you have to decide for your self what works best for you.

    Good luck dude.
