Can someone give me a link to a video that will show me how to put that strip of stuff that goes between the?

door and the door frame that keeps the heat and cold out? I can't even figure out how to get the one that is in there out. The people that lived here before us had a cat and the cat clawed about a foot of it off the bottom. So I need to know how to get the old one off and put the new one on.

To take it off just get an exacto knife and cut off the old one.

To put the new one on just go to the hardware store and get the peel and stick one and peel back the adhesive and stick it on where the old weatherstripping was

you mean the weather stripping. all you have to do is pull it off and go to the hardware store and buy new weather stripping.peel the paper off the back side and press it down evenly around your door frame sticky side down.

Don't have a link.  It probably is a vinyl wheatherstrip that has a fin that inserts into the wood.  Take a flat head screwdriver or butterknife and start at the bottom and pry straight back.  once you get it started it will pull out easily.  Then just insert the new one.  I measure then cut it with snips or scissors.  then start at top and work your way down.

You probably have the type that is inserted into a shallow cut in the door frame. Just take a flat screwdriver or small putty knife and pry it out. the new ones just slip right in place, cut to length first.

There is three types of weather strips  #1  nail on a thin metal strap with rubber protruding out one side. #2 a foam square strip with peel and stick on one side and #3 a molded strip with a flat fin attached that slips into a routed slit in door jamb and this to comes in two models magnetic and non magnetic. Any hardware store will carry most of these but you will have to find a door company to get the rest. Good luck.

Leave it there and buy a door sweep that mounts to the back of the door. About $15
