I am lookin for a cheap car, so under 25,000, that is Sporty, looks good, fast, and most of all RWD (Rear Wheel Drive). I have found plenty of other cars but they're FWD (Front Wheel Drive). Please Help.

  1. You would really be missing out if you didn't test drive the import/American cars before you choose one or the other. Some of the best RWD cars have been made overseas as well as in the United States, and it all depends on your preference.

If you're looking to go really fast, really straight, buy American.  If you're looking for handling buy an import.  The only American car I can truly say astounds me handling-wise and that would be an exception from this is the latest generation of the Corvette---but you can't buy one for under $25,000.

Are you looking for a new--or used car?  There're many options out there for under 25,000 (used) but not so many new--for now.

You can buy a Ford Mustang, or you can wait.  By 2009-2010 the under-$20k-exciting-RWD car battles by manufacturers is going to heat up--especially if you're looking for a 4-cylinder RWD sports car.  You should also look forward to the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro--although I'm not sure how low the price tag will go, but I'm guessing it'll start around the low 20s.

    Toyota/Subaru RWD (with rendered speculation)-http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/28/subar...

    USED////a few examples*

    Chevrolet Camaro

    Chevrolet Corvette

    Ford Mustang

--[Pretty much all American classics are RWD]

    Infiniti G35 (2003+)

    Lexus SC300

    Mazda Miata/MX-5

---personally I think it's a girl car.. but to each his own.

    Mitsubishi 3000GT

    Nissan 240SX

---(not too pretty, except for 1995+ kouki--but I don't know your tastes so.. )

    ---[1989 S13 -1997 S14]

    Nissan 300ZX

    ---(mine--love it--TT is a plus--best year=1995)

    Nissan 350Z

    Toyota AE86

---(beauty is in the eye of the beholder)

Toyota Supra (Mk I, II, III, IV)

*These are all examples, I can't possibly cover all sports cars that are RWD.  Sorry if it's too import-overloaded.

    GOOD LUCK!

  2. If you want to go fast, I highly recommend buying either a used Mustang GT PI 4.6 (1999-2004) or a LT1/LS1 Corvette/Camaro/Firebird/TransAm

Buy a used one for around 7000-11,000 and either supercharge or turbocharge them.

All of the above cars are excellent quality, handle well (Corvettes handle best), and accelerate well.

The Mustang will be the cheapest to upgrade- that's why I bought one.  However, if you want a combination of speed and handling I'd go with a Corvette.

NEVER buy a car off the showroom floor and expect it to be sporty unless you plan on paying 35,000 or more.  I'll be honest with you.  Mustangs are terrible unless you upgrade them or get a special edition (Cobra, GT500, etc).  Corvettes are engineered quite well, but the newer ones are very expensive.  You can buy an LS1/LT1 Corvette, slap a Procharger on it, and push 400hp (a family member just did this).  OR you can buy a Mustang and install gears, a supercharger or twin-turbo kit, and a better fuel system and push well over 450hp.  (the Corvette will ALWAYS dominate in handling)

Don't go import.  Most imports are FWD, though some are RWD.  The RWD/AWD ones are usually fast, but personally I hate them.

  3. Shop around for a restored classic, not only were they better cars,  but it will appreciate in value, not depreciate

  4. Choose 2008 Ford Mustang GT Deluxe Coupe

  5. Every car magazine and most car enthusiast agree on the following: The Mazda MX5 Miata is the worlds greatest rear wheel drive roadster ever made. Not only because of its legendary great handling and balance, or its fun to drive factor, but also because the MX5 costs thousands less than all the other fun roadsters (Porsche Boxter, BMW roadster, etc). You can get a very well equipped Mazda Miata for much less than $20K. GOOD LUCK.

  6. try BMW cars they have good sporty cars >i got one and i luv it<

  7. **** hold up til u get 26,000 dollars and u can get a mustang gt.
