  1. We also use Fuzzi Bunz.  I love them!  I was a little scared to use them at first, and was using mostly disposables.  Then my boy got a rash, and the only way I was able to get rid of it was by using cloth exclusively!  Since then, that's all I've used.

It's not a hassle, just an extra load of laundry every other day.  And they wash beautifully, I follow the instructions Fuzzi Bunz gives, and you can't tell they've been used, even the poopiest diapers!

My son goes through about 7-8 a day.  He's almost 8 weeks old.  I have 24 diapers, and do a load of them every other day.

  3. Hello,

We use cloth Fuzzi bunz and we don't find them a hassle at all.  We have had no trouble with nappy rash and the fleece is lovely and soft on her skin.  I have 12 in total and I wash them every second day and they dry overnight.  We are still using disposables over night - but when I get round to buying some booster inserts we will also use the reusables.

There are heaps of different brands and styles of reusables out there, most of the manufacturers will sell or rent a trial pack for a reasonable price.

  4. I don;t find them a hassle at all. For a newborn you will want about 30-36 diapers and 10-12 covers, that should allow you to wash every other day or even every 3 days. I just toss them in a diaper pail, and every other day I wash the dirties.

It depends on you tolerance for baby p**p. It does not bother me in the least so its no biggie for me if I have to rinse out a p**p diaper in the toilet.

  5. I use bum genius all in one one-size. They're great.

Newborn baby went through about 10 a day, and now at two months he is at more like 6-8. Since he is breastfed, we get one or two "dirty" diapers a day. Otherwise, it's a wet diaper.

These diapers have a thicker insert that slips in for overnight or toddler use, so we only use one or two overnight.

I have a supply of two dozen which I wash about every four days. It isn't a hassle at all, since even the doo is water soluble. It would be a hassle, though, if I didn't have my own washer and dryer. One cycle cold, a little detergent, then two cycles hot, no detergent+ dry on medium heat or line dry.

The one size has snaps that make the diaper get bigger, so you only need 24 for the whole diaper stage. They say some people get 36 just to make sure they have enough, but 24 has worked great for me. I also use flannel wipes and a little water sprayer.

Everyone tells me how pretty they are.

EDIT: I don't use a pail. Honestly, his diapers don't smell much at all. I have a waterproof drawstring tote I toss them in. We only had diaper rash when he was wearing disposables tthe first week of life. Went away quickly when we went to cloth and never came back.
