I had one drink one night at a bar and it made me really super sick i went to the hospital and wouldn't stop throwing up, I would say that for being 27 i have had my share of drinking with friends and partying when i was younger but nothing ever too crazy, my question is ever since that night i got really sick (which was 1 year ago)when i even take a drink of any kind of alcohol my stomach starts to hurt really really bad and my body just rejects it does any one have any ideas why? now i know everyone is going to say " well don't drink" and i don't drink anymore but I'm just very curious why my body would get like this after one beer.

  1. Have you ever had an allergy test done by a physician?  It sounds like you may have an allergy to an ingredient in the drink.

  2. something could be wrong with your liver

  3. Your brain can remember that one drink that made you sick. It may be that you've had a very strong negative reinforcement and your brain rejects the alcohol automatically. Just a thought.

  4. that happen to my sister dad and he had an Ulcera and very bad liver. and he started to bleed in his stomach-But you really should go to another doctor.-your reason might be different from others...hope you get better

  5. You may be very lucky that it made you really sick.  If your drink did get something in it you could have been raped instead you just got sick.  It sounds like some one put a drug in your drink and you had a bad reaction to it.  Your body may be mistaking the alcohol for the culprit that made you ill.

  6. The same thing has happened to me.  Once I got bombed (drank an entire bottle of vodka straight up and took like, six sleeping pills) and threw it up the next morning.  After that I couldn't even handle a shot without practically throwing it up right there.  I think it's your brain's way of telling you that the alcohol isn't good, and it doesn't want a repeat of *insert bad drinking episode here*.  It takes a while, but eventually you'll ween yourself back on the bottle.  I did, and now I'm back to my good ol' alcoholic self.
