Its just one hurricane. Hurrican Gustav has already made it to LA and had made landfall earlier this morning around 8am.

It hit as a weak category 3 and is now a category1. still doing major roof damage, and structural damage. little flooding, but not much. Heavy rains and major wind. gusts to 90 mph.  It is around homan right now. going to layfete, la.

The hurricane had already hit Homan, Louisiana and moved on.

Now, the hurricane is hammering Baton Rouge...it is getting a very direct hit by the storm. Winds are as high as 102 mph.

There is fear that the main oil rigs and refineries about 2 miles away from Baton, Rouge may have been heavily damaged and I think 44 percent of the rigs near Baton Rouge may have suffered permanent damage.

If that is so after evaluation of 12-24 hours, oil prices could jack up to as high as 133 dollars a barrel with this major disruption.

At New Orleans, the levees are still holding, even though waters are overtopping and seepage some of the main levees, including the one near the 9th Ward...the levees are mainly holding.
