Can someone give me some advice on how to say NO?

My cousin who is 22 yrs. has asked to stay with me for a while. But i really dont want her to stay with me i no she is family and i love her but i dont want her around my kids and fiance.

She does a lot of stupid things and i would think that when you make a mistake you learn from it but not her one of the things that she did was she was on the way home from picking up her little sister from school (she is 9) and some guy in a car offered her a ride so she made her sister go with her for a ride. i mean who does that you know something bad could of happeded to the both of them.

Very simple.  You just tell her you cannot have her stay with you at all, even overnight because you're just far too busy with your own family and cannot have even one more person in the house. If she's that stupid God knows what harm she could do to your kids or your family by inviting strangers over, etc, she sounds the type. Make it clear under no circumstances can she stay with you.

You should tell her that even thou she is family she needs to follow your rules because its your house. Just because she is family doesn't mean that you shouldnt set some ground rules. <--( This is if you dont say no)..... Just talk with her and tell her how you feel. If she doesn't understand try to show her why you feel a certain way. And why you wouldn't want her to be living with you and your family.

Dont give in.  I have several times now to family members and ended up miserable.  Its best to give a short reason, one that she woont find holes in, ways to move her way thru, into your home.  Do NOTTTTTTTT waver in your voice, she will detect it and then youre screwed.  IN a friendly but firm voice tell her that you are up to your ears in reposnsibilty and tell her you have are dealing with soome stuff in the home as it is and then quickly point her elsewhere..
