  1. Well, we need a bit more information to be able to help you.  Turtles need different things as babies, than adults do.

So, go back to your "additional" section, and tell us what kind of turtle it is, what size the tank is, how old it is, etc.

Then we will be better able to help you.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

  2. That isn't a tank; that's a jail cell.  Figure ten gallons of tank per inch of turtle shell. Remember that turtles grow rapidly if you care for them properly.

Feed the turtle all it will eat in one sitting, then stop. Babies need daily feedings. As they grow, you can cut back gradually. An adult needs to be fed once per week (summer) to once per month (winter). Live food is better for the turtles than food sticks are. Try small earthworms and soft-bodied insects to start. You can keep fish (not goldfish) in the tank too so the turtle can eat when it gets hungry. When you can't catch live food, cut strips of liver and dust them with bonemeal.

  3. ok..her ya go.

They need a 55 gallon tank.

They need to bask under a reptile light for  8 to 10 hrs a day for the vitamin D that  they need to grow.

Leave the heater on 75 to 78 degrees always.

Their water needs to be clean otherwise they get sick easily from dirty water cause they p**p allot.

You need a good filter system!!

You need to feed them feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows for protein and calcium daily.

They need leafy greens for vitamins at least 3 to 4 times a week.

Get some turtle stix and ot dried tubiflex worms in cube style 3 to 4 times a wek.

Red-eared sliders, Gender especially juveniles, can be difficult to s*x. Gender in adults is determined by external physical characteristics and behavior. Males have longer fore claws (which are use in courtship), a longer tail length. Males are smaller in size and shell length. Turtles are considered juveniles till after 5 yrs old.
