On the hotel's website, it says "It is close to the train station of Verona Porta Nuova (10 minutes on foot), connected by several busses. The hotel is located immediately in the town centre, at 650 metres from the Arena."

Exit the front of the train station and walk straight ahead up to the roundabout, staying to the right. Turn right and walk over to the next street. Make a jog left and then bear 1/2 right onto Via Citta di Nimes which is the bridge across the canal. Cross the Viale Luciano Dal Cero on the far side of the canal and contiinue NE on Via Citta de Nimes. Cross Circonvallazione Alfredo Oriani.

At the next split, streets will angle off at about 45 degrees to the right (Via Gian Matteo Giberti) and left (Via Carmelitani Scalzi) which is the street your hotel is on.

Bear left and follow Carmelitani Scalzi N/NW until you get to the Hotel Scalzi at number 5.
