  1. Everybody should have a passport.

    The Bahama's immigration officer may or may not have seen the web site mentioned above.

    You will definitely have more hassle without a passport.


  2. Passports are not needed for sea travel to the Caribbean nations until summer 2009. See site below.  However, some cruise lines want all passengers to have passports, so you need to call your cruise line and ask their policy.  A felony in your history does not prevent you from getting a passport.

  3. You may need a passport to cruise to the Bahamas, some cruise lines are requiring them even though the government website says they aren't required until next year.

    As a US citizen, it's your right to apply for a passport, no matter if you are a felony.

  4. YES you need your passport with you for Cruise travel.  Even though the government website says you don't till 2009 you do need it now.  I just went on a 2 week cruise and I had to have my passport.  Most if not all cruise lines now require you have your passport.
