Can someone help? I am frustrated and i am taking a bow out of all fertility drugs or injections.?

I have been actively trying to conceive for a year now (August 07 to Aug 08).Rather than improve, i think things have gone bad enough and am in tears now. I have moved from Clomid only, to Clomid and metformin,to HCG injections,HMG injections with HCG injections on the 7th day was my last treatment and then my cycle is in disarray!! I have had spotting from Monday 11th August to date.Its so sickening and frustrating in all. I want to take a break.I am not calling my Doctor either. I just want out;yet i am so desperate! Anyone share my pain?

can't they pull an egg out, fertilize it with his sperm, then throw it back in there? i thought this was possible. in vitro fertilization.

You seem understandibly frustrated, but have you and your partner ever considered getting a surrogate?  My friend did that for a couple and all people involved are so happy.  I told her I thought that was so amazing that she could do that for someone.  They flew here last month to bring the baby to visit with my friend.  It was awesome meeting everyone.  Talk to your Dr. about this possibility.  The babies Mother told me how much they had been through trying to concieve.  Maybe just consider it.  The child would be all yours, your DNA etc.  Good Luck  xox

Well, it seems that you have/are suffering a miscarriage.  I am so sorry you have to go through this.  But if the scan said you were 8 weeks pregnant you had to be.  I had a miscarriage about 5 yrs ago and it is hard to deal with.  Taking a break now is a good idea IF you need it but I will say this.... Many women get pregnant the very first month after having a miscarriage.  

I was ttc for 4 long years before I finally conceived my twins with the help of a fertility Dr.  Nearly 4 years after that, God blessed with me another child that was conceived naturally.  So there is a chance..  Dont give up hope.. You can do it!

if you were 8 wks pregnant then you should be having a lot more than spotting.i have had 5 m/c and every time i had a gush of blood, quite alarming, followed by 4 or 5 days of heavy bleeding.if you haven't experienced that then i doubt you have miscarried completely yet.you need to be having more tests to establish what is happening...don't give up on the treatment as it shows you can conceive.its just unfortunate if you miscarry like me.i was told to have 2 periods before ttc again but they do say when you have a miscarriage that your hormones and uterus is still fresh from a pregnancy and its easier to get pregnant again quick

Something is really going wrong. Normally, fertility only lasts for 6 months... not a year. If I were in that much pain, I would scoop out my eyes with a melonballer and then roast them on a campfire. And then most probably I would grill my liver.

Listen, i share your pain..I waited 10 yrs for my first child, and i would love another.Only possible now, via surrogate..I have the healthy eggs, but alot of other physical complications are in my way now, for me to carry a child myself...

I am grateful for one child of course, but i am desperate for another...

I would request another scan and blood test to see what is going on.

I can understand you have been through a lot but you need to spend some time thinking about you and get strong again so that you can start again when you are ready.

Trying to concieve can be extremely emotional and exhausting especially when you have to take fertility treatment.

I  am currently going through IVF and i know how consuming trying to have a baby can be.  I am currently on another two week wait, hoping, wishing and praying.

I have also learnt to look after me first and that has really helped this cycle and I hope it brings me some positive results.  If not I have made so many positive changes that I am happy with who I am regardless of what the end of the two weeks brings.

You need to consult your doctor. Avoiding him wont solve anything. Depression and stress can also add to infertility and miscarriages. Call tell him you are spotting and concerned, it could even be an ectopic pregnancy. You need to find out for sure before you do permanent damage.
