  1. Hi dude

lightsworn is good, but G-Beasts are cheaper and easier to make.

The major advantages of lightsworn decks are as follow

1.their Level 4 or lower monsters are bigger than average(2100,1800+300,1850,1700,1600, respectively)

    2. many destruction/removal abilities(hunter, angel, sorceress, monk, and the almighty J-dragon)

    3. swarm the filed(wulf, summoner)

4 draw!!! (card of safe return, warrior)

However, since most lightsworn card requires you to dump 3 or more cards each and every end phase, it forces you to play VERY aggressive. Basic idea is to break your opponent’s defense as soon as possible, taking advantage of his bad draws on combo-oriented deck or weaker/slower monsters.

    Non-lightsworn Cards to get:

my body as a shield: lightsworn HATES mass removals. I play this card for 2 reasons: to torrential tribute and crush card virus.  (mirror force can be dealt with easily with angel and sorceress) "My body" is faster than solemn judgment because it can be played the turn you draw it.

solemn judgment: although costly and can mess with J-Dragon, it is almost a must or main deck and a must for side.

half the time, you won't need JD to use its effect to crush him since lightsworns are SO big.

honest: A must... most time lightsworn decks cannot run many defensive traps because they should be constantly attack!!!(or your own mill effect will kill you) honest makes your opponent think twice before attacking into your lightsworn hunter in attack mode(although most times they do not have a choice, they don't kill it, you drop angel next turn, more good news for you now isn't it?)

beckoning light: great card!!! someone doesn’t run it but I love it!! the reason: get back multiple JDs or next turns payback!!! get back multiple honest to watch your lightsworn summoners run wild on his seemingly "bigger" monsters...oh. one more thing, it does not target...(DD bird can not cancel effect like Pot of Avarice, only removal 1 potential target. with your mill effect, there are MANY MANY targets...)

foolish burial: FB wulf, summon angel, watch as he lost 2 cards for the price of 1 and takes 2300 or spend another card to avoid such fate...

    Side decks:

S/T removal: dust tornado, twister... it is your choice (light-imprison mirror MUST DIE!!!)

phantom of chaos: look, my name is Judgment Dragon and I blow you up!!!( also able to mimic lyla, monk, the list goes on; you don't have to mill since it says "until the end phase")

Zero gravity: great card few people use... helps you on defense like a mass enemy controller; on your turn, sorceress "breaks" twice!!! chainable... too

threatening roar: for G-Beasts and stall for JD.

royal degree: again G-Beasts, but GREAT against others too since you have few traps...(just don’t forget to take out your solemn if you main them)

    Cards not to get:

lightsworn dragon(what ever its name is): it does trample, but dies too easily... 3 angel instead!!!

guardian of order: 2500 beat stick but no other effect. dead draw if you can not control the field. make room for other support cards.

    Now my deck list.

    3 JD

    3 angels

    3 wulf

    3 sorceresses

    3 honest

    3 necro gardna

    2 warrior

    2 summoner

    2 monk

    2 hunter

    2 FB

2 my body as a shield

    1 reborn

    1 premature

    1 heavy

    1 MST

    3 solar recharge

    1 crush card virus

    2 beckoning light

At least on my games, if I draw solar recharge within the first 3 turns, I win 90% of the time.(because of the mill effect, you don't draw it the first few hands, you chance of getting it is almost none) necro gardna and honest to keep my smaller monsters alive so I can play angel. also helps protect the dragon(yes, some times it will get killed in battle.) and win games (dump 3 honest in a single battle.)

There are many other ways to make the deck work... such as Card of safe return build...

hey, the art on the cards are good, deck is powerful and very competitive, just too expansive though...

and last but not least, it gets owned by G beasts.... (I played GB decks 13 times last weekend, lost 8 times...GB decks are much much cheaper to make and better... hate to admit it but its true...) other decks like DAD, tribute, even counter angels are OK.... it depends on your draw and luck.  but you have a better chance to win on all of them since you are rushing them!!!. Due to lightsworn deck's expansive price tag... better think twice before getting it.

oh... we are just 2 month away from 9/1/2008 banned list comes out. Something will be done to lightsworn decks( the 3000 ATK dragon will not be at THREE!!! count on it!!! so do 2400 G-Beast, DAD, Dmoc, Diskman and a few other cards) so don't rush to burn your money dude...
