I need help with science. Its a question. Now our unit is about water system. I like this chapter. But I really got stuck with this question. Here it is:

With so much water in the world, explain why some places suffer water shortages. Make a list of ways that a water shortage would affect your life.

Information: I know only this ---

-In our world, less than 1% is fresh water (1st part)

-Your body is made out of 80% water. So because of water shortage, you'll die. (2nd part)

-people destroy water. such as, when you are brushing your teeth and in the sink the water is open. this way, you are wasting water. that nmight cause water shortage (1st part)

I just know these informations. What else? Can you give me some more?

Drought, aka, lack of rain/snow. I live in Southern California and we haven't received 4 inches of rain the past 12 months.

No municipal or government services to provide water treatment plants or wells. Namely a problem in Africa.

a lot of people waste water by using the dishwasher and clothing washer when the load isnt full. also taking extremely long showers or too many baths. i know this might sound weird if you havent seen it, but many people have their sprinkler system for their lawn on an automatic time and sometimes it rains and the sprinklers are still going! i hate seeing that because it really is a total waste of money and water
